Translator Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of Tarjim as a translator. By registering as a translator you agree to them.
1. Acceptance
By registering a translator on Tarjim and using the translator dashboard, you agree to these terms and to Tarjim's general Terms and Privacy Policy.
Translators on Tarjim are translators, verified against official papers before approval.
2. Your earnings and revenue share
Tarjim operates on a revenue-share model. For each completed order the translation fee is split between you and Tarjim. The standard share is 80% to the translator and 20% to Tarjim as the platform fee.
The split applies to the translation fee only — delivery and courier fees are not part of it. The applicable rate is the one published in your dashboard when an order is finalized, and Tarjim may update it; any change applies only to orders finalized after it takes effect.
3. When you get paid
Payment for a completed order is held in escrow until the client's review window — 72 hours (about three days) — closes with no revision requested. Once that window passes with no objection, your net share is released to your wallet and paid out automatically where available, or by manual bank transfer from Tarjim.
Amounts are settled centrally in Saudi Riyal (SAR); your dashboard shows figures in your own currency using the conversion in effect at the time.
4. Taxes
Any applicable tax is set by Tarjim and shown in your wallet. You remain responsible for your own tax obligations in your jurisdiction.
5. Cancellations
If an order is cancelled before delivery, the client is refunded minus the applicable cancellation fee (currently 15%). If work has already been done, either party may escalate to Tarjim for arbitration.
6. Communication and off-platform contact
All communication with clients must stay within Tarjim's in-app chat. Do not share personal information, contact details (phone, email, or messaging handles), external links, or your physical location, and do not attempt to move the work or payment off the platform.
Such messages are detected and removed automatically and replaced with a notice that the message violated these terms. Repeated or deliberate attempts to bypass the platform or solicit off-platform contact will result in suspension or termination of your account.
7. Changes to these terms
Tarjim may update these terms; the current version is always published on this page. Continued use of the platform after an update constitutes acceptance.
