Terms of Use
Last updated 12 August 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Tarjim mobile application, website, and related services (together, the "Service") as a client. The Service is operated by Minasat Tarjim Commercial Establishment (Tarjimpro), Commercial Registration No. 7040621802, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia ("Tarjim", "we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account, placing an order, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding contract to use the Service. By using the Service you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.
2. The Service and our role
Tarjim is a platform that connects clients who need certified document translation with independent, licensed translation providers ("Translators"). Tarjim facilitates ordering, communication, payment, and (where selected) delivery. Translators are independent providers and not employees or agents of Tarjim. Except where expressly stated, Tarjim does not itself perform the translation and is not a party to the professional relationship between you and a Translator, but Tarjim sets platform rules, holds funds in escrow, and provides support.
3. Accounts and sign-in
You access the Service using your mobile phone number and a one-time password (OTP) delivered via WhatsApp or SMS. You are responsible for maintaining control of your phone number and account and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. We may apply anti-abuse checks (including a bot-protection challenge) to protect the sign-in process.
To protect the documents held in your account, the Service permits one active session per account. Signing in on a new device automatically ends any session on a device you used previously. If you are signed out and you did not sign in elsewhere, treat it as a possible compromise of your account and contact us immediately using the channel in section 17.
4. Orders, quotes, and pricing
You place an order by submitting your source document(s) and requirements. A Translator provides a quote, or a price is calculated by the platform. Prices are displayed in your local currency together with a Saudi Riyal (SAR) equivalent based on a foreign-exchange rate captured at the time of the transaction; that captured rate is used for the order, including any later refund calculation. All amounts are inclusive or exclusive of applicable taxes as indicated at checkout.
5. Payment
Payment is processed by our third-party payment provider (PayTabs) and, where offered, by Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Samsung Pay. Tarjim does not collect or store your full card number. By submitting a payment you authorize the charge for the order total, including any delivery and service fees shown at checkout. Your payment is held in escrow and released to the Translator after the order is completed and any objection window has passed.
6. Certified translation — scope and disclaimer
Translators are licensed to provide certified translations. However, acceptance of any translation by a court, government body, embassy, university, or other third party is at that party's discretion and is not guaranteed by Tarjim. You are responsible for confirming the format, certification, and requirements that your receiving party expects before ordering. Tarjim is not liable for a third party's refusal to accept a translation that was performed in accordance with your instructions.
7. Hardcopy delivery and shipping
For orders requiring a physical (hardcopy) certified translation, you may request delivery. Delivery is fulfilled by a third-party courier engaged by Tarjim.
- You must provide an accurate delivery address, recipient name, and contact number. Delivery fees are shown before you pay and depend on destination and service level.
- Delivery timelines are estimates provided by the courier and are not guaranteed. Risk of loss for a shipped hardcopy passes on the courier's confirmed delivery.
- For international shipments, you are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and import requirements at the destination.
- If a delivery fails due to an incorrect address or unavailability of the recipient, re-delivery may incur additional charges.
The courier's identity may not be disclosed to the Translator; the Translator is not responsible for shipping.
8. Your obligations and prohibited content
You represent that you own or have the right to submit each document you upload and to have it translated. You must not submit content that is unlawful, infringing, fraudulent, or that you are not authorized to share. You must not use the Service to launder documents, misrepresent identity, or facilitate any illegal purpose. We may refuse or remove any order that violates these Terms or applicable law.
9. Communication and conduct
Orders include an in-app chat with your Translator. To protect both parties, chat is moderated and the sharing of direct contact details or attempts to move the transaction off-platform are prohibited and may be blocked. Treat Translators and support staff respectfully; abusive conduct may result in suspension.
10. Cancellations, refunds, and escrow
You may request to cancel an order subject to its current status. Cancellation before work begins is generally eligible for a refund; cancellation after work has started may be subject to a cancellation fee reflecting work performed. Refunds are calculated using the amounts and exchange rate stored on the original order and are returned to the original payment method. Where a hardcopy has already shipped, delivery charges are non-refundable. Specific refund outcomes are shown to you before you confirm a cancellation.
11. Rewards and referrals
Tarjim may offer rewards or a referral programme. Rewards have no cash value except as expressly provided, are non-transferable, and may be subject to minimum thresholds and verification. We may modify or discontinue any rewards programme, and may withhold or reverse rewards obtained through abuse or fraud.
12. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, and content, is owned by Tarjim or its licensors and is protected by law. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for its intended purpose. Completed translations delivered to you are yours to use for your stated purpose, subject to payment.
13. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tarjim disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
14. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Tarjim's total liability arising out of or relating to the Service or any order shall not exceed the amount you paid for the order giving rise to the claim. Tarjim shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profit, data, or goodwill.
15. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Tarjim harmless from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
16. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, misuse the Service, or where required by law. You may stop using the Service at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including payment, disclaimers, liability, and governing law) will survive.
Deleting your account. You may delete your account yourself at any time from Settings → Delete Account in the app, or via tarjim.pro/en/delete-account if you no longer have it installed. Deletion takes effect after a 30-day grace period and cannot proceed while you have an open order, an unpaid balance, a hardcopy in transit, a refund in progress, or an open support ticket. Requesting deletion does not cancel obligations that already exist, and it does not waive anything owed to or by you. Records we are required by law to retain are described in section 8 of the Privacy Policy.
17. Account security and reporting
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account, your registered mobile number, and any device on which you remain signed in, and for activity carried out through your account. You agree to notify us as soon as you become aware of any suspected unauthorized access.
Reporting suspected unauthorized access. Reports are received on WhatsApp or SMS at +966 55 459 2329, a channel monitored for this purpose. On receiving a report we may suspend the account as a protective measure while the matter is reviewed; suspension is precautionary and implies no finding against you. Where a loss could reasonably have been avoided by prompt notification, we are not responsible for that loss to that extent.
18. Review, revision, and approval
When a completed translation is delivered to you, a review period begins. Its length is set by Tarjim and is shown to you on the order. During the review period you may request revision in accordance with the revision entitlement shown on your order.
Approving a delivered translation confirms that you have reviewed it, concludes the review period, and ends any remaining revision entitlement for that order.
If you take no action before the review period expires, the order is approved automatically so that the Translator may be paid and any delivery may proceed. Automatic approval has the same effect as approval by you. We therefore encourage you to review each delivered translation promptly.
Nothing in this section affects any remedy available to you where a translation contains a demonstrable error attributable to the Translator. Such matters are handled under our cancellation and refund process and, where applicable, under the mandatory consumer-protection rights referred to in section 21.
19. Delivery of a version other than the approved one
Delivery is arranged for the approved version of a translation. Where you ask for a different or earlier version to be produced, printed, or shipped after approval, that request is treated as a new delivery and is charged at the rate published at the time of the request. Rates are set by Tarjim and are shown to you before you confirm.
20. Availability, interruptions, and security incidents
The Service is provided on a reasonable-efforts basis. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Access may be suspended for maintenance, for security reasons, or because of a failure in a third-party service on which the Service depends, including payment processing, messaging, hosting, and courier services.
If an interruption costs you a deadline. Where an interruption prevents you from acting within a time-limited window — including a review period — contact support and we will, acting reasonably, extend that window or otherwise restore your position.
Security incidents. If we become aware of a security incident affecting your personal data, we will act in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Law and its implementing regulations, including notifying the competent authority and affected users where required.
21. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights available to you.
22. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will publish the updated version and, where the change is material, ask you to accept it before continuing to use the Service. Your continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
